Want to get rid of your old appliances?  Want a little extra money in your pocket?  Now there's a way you can do both!

A program called Eco NEW is an online service that gives you gift cards in exchange for your old electronics.  You can trade anything from computer monitors to digital cameras to gaming systems.

Not only do they send you a gift card, but they also pay for the shipping and handeling of the gadgets you mail in.  The will e-mail you a UPS postage paid label to send the item straight to the recycling center.

Gift card retailers include; Sam's Club; Office Depot and for military families The Navy Exchange.  All you have to do is put in the make and model of the electronic you want to recycle.

"You enter simple info about whether or not it's working, if you have all the parts, cords, and then the screen will tell you what the estimated trade in value of the product will be," says Kristina Messner, Eco New Spokesperson.  "Even if it's worth nothing, you can still use a free shipping label.  That's a good way to make sure your product is being recycled in a eco-friendly way."
